Topic: How can QA become a DevOps expert? A practitioner’s session for QA on Azure DevOps

Abstract:
A decade ago, the software development process started active transformation from Agile and DevOps became an extension of agile software development approach. Development team continuously develops software/application based on customer needs or making enhancements and fixes in the existing application. Ops tried to deliver maximum stability and availability of software services. Between the two differing goals of Development and Ops teams, Quality Assurance (QA) plays an important role as a key enabler in delivering business value.

DevOps breaks down the organizational silos between development and operations teams, emphasizes that QA is everyone’s responsibility. This needs concentrated effort & collaboration between developers, QA, Product Owners/BA & Operations to be successful. This workshop/Lab session highlights how QA can transform to DevOps expert, provides a practitioner's view with hands-on using Azure DevOps. In addition, details pre-requisites/skills like VCS, integrating source code with Azure, creation of a pipeline for continuous integration (CI/CD), continuous testing and monitoring as well.
